One of the more interesting studies while digging in the historical books of the Old Testament is to compare and contrast the four books of Samuel and Kings with the two books of the Chronicles. This week, we continue this study by looking at the 1 Chronicles 20 account of the time David tarried at Jerusalem — which is all you’ll find in 1 Chronicles 20 for the whole episode of David and Bathsheba recorded in 2 Samuel 11 and 12 — and seeing what additional things we can learn from it.
