But in reality the first book of the Chronicles details a stark contrast between Man&#8217;s way, illustrated by the books of Samuel and the books of the Kings, and God&#8217;s Way.  Nowhere is this more contrasted than in the life of David; especially when studying the last days of David one would think the books of Samuel (and the book of first Kings) is talking about a completely different person than the first book of the Chronicles.  But no: same man, two different perspectives.
