David&#8217;s sons, we read, are chief rulers; we&#8217;re not given specifics of what exactly they did, but they were rulers.  As such they should be; one of them could be the next king, after all.  But this practice of putting family into important positions in business or ministry, without regards to qualifications, can be a bad idea.
