When many students here the phrase “it’s time to study the book of first Chronicles” they immediately think genealogies and seemingly endless lists of names. But in reality the first book of the Chronicles details a stark contrast between Man’s way, illustrated by the books of Samuel and the books of the Kings, and God’s Way. Nowhere is this more contrasted than in the life of David; especially when studying the last days of David one would think the books of Samuel (and the book of first Kings) is talking about a completely different person than the first book of the Chronicles. But no: same man, two different perspectives. On this week’s podcast we begin really digging in to this contrast.
